We can't get Joe Johnson. I'd go with someone that can score at an effective rate and is a willing passer. Kevin Martin would be nice, Iggy would be too, possibly Caron Butler?

This is a reasonable. Washington already expressed interest in McGrady by offering Arenas. Houston declined as they should have.

So... how about...

McGrady, & Dorsey

for

Miller, & Butler

PG: Brooks, Lowry
SG: Ariza, Taylor
C: Hayes, Andersen
SF: Butler, Battier, Harris
PF: Scola, Landry, Cook

IR: Yao, Miller, Budinger

How about Calderon?

He's not a great defender by any means, but with Yao and Ariza and Scola/Landry on the floor, Calderon would ensure Ariza doesn't handle the ball and that Yao gets it in the post, getting looks sorta like how Calderon looks for Bosh.

Brooks could be a very good backup, and probably take over closer to the end of Calderon's contract; at which point you could trade Calderon as an expiring for someone to put you further over the top.

He's also a great shooter, so he'd be a nice threat from outside.

You're right, he isn't :D

but i also think Kevin martin wont help the rockets, because he takes too many shots and does not play defense.

Though, Iggy would be great on this team

We've got a 6-8 swingman who can score and pass already. I'm in the minority, but I think we've got the player we need on our team.

7 minutes a game isn't going to get it done, but I could see him playing 20 or 25 as a super-sub off the bench and as our crunchtime go-to guy... I know he wouldn't accept that role, but it's a good fit for him, y'know?
Hello ladies. Look at your posts. Now back to mine. Now back at your posts now back to MINE. Sadly, they aren't mine. But if your posts started using Optimismâ„¢, they could sound like mine. This post is now diamonds.

Kevin Martin.

Brooks/Martin/Battier/Scola/Yao
Lowry/Ariza/Budinger/Landry/Hayes/??

Martin has always been an pretty efficient scorer, and without having to be the #1 option, would really thrive IMO. He's deadly from mid-range, gets to the line a lot, and is a flat-out scorer.

Ariza bides his time from the bench and eventually supplants Battier; Budinger will improve and leave us set at the swing positions.

Brooks/Lowry isn't the best PG combo around, but it's effective - Brooks' zone-busting abilities and Lowry's playmaking and tenacious defensive abilities. Scolandry has always served us well, and the final piece for us could just be us getting a solid backup center, something we have never ever had.

We should stop looking at these reasonable trades... Morey has been a magician in the past with trades so I don't think its a stretch to imagine hes got something big up his sleeve :P

Are you serious? Was that just a rumor or did that actually happen?

I'm taking Iggy before Butler. Iggy's younger, and a better playmaker. He's like 18//6/6 caliber with actually very good defense. Iggy would be a great 3rd option to Yao's 2nd option, and damn we'd need to get a #1 option.
