Mike Harris waived

hoepfully this means a trade is imminent.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

It has nothing to do with a trade, it has everything to do with his contract becoming guaranteed if we didn't let him go. How many times have we given this kid his walking papers now?

We should see if we can just sign him to a retainer contract and give up on all this seasonal / 10 day crap.

I just wanted to double-check something. Just because Yao Ming was given a disabled player exception, he still counts against your roster maximum right? It seems like he would still have to, but does anyone know for sure?

I wonder if Wafer would have been waived too, once Budinger came back. That is, if Wafer had passed his physical.

Poor Harris. This has got to hurt. What is this like the 6th time he's been waived by the Rockets?

Budinger is already part of the team. No need to make room for him.

This is the reason.

Jan. 10, which is the NBA contract guarantee date. All nonguaranteed contracts become guaranteed for the rest of the season after that date.

The reason we signed Harris is because Wafer failed the physical (he was injured). News in Wafer is taking the physical again, so Rockets is trying to sign him again.

Bringing another rotation player in, look like Adelman isn't happy with Budinger or Andersen.

I'm sure he'll happily try out for them again.

Besides, apparently he's country strong.

Clear space for Von Wafer's return.
That simple.

Return to Houston Rockets
