The What: Your Houston Rockets host the New York Knicks

The When: 7:30 PM CST

The Where: Toyota Center, Houston, TX

The Skinny: The Rockets have dropped 3 in a row following a brutal road trip. They’re back home against the Knicks who have been playing very well as a team over the past several games. After a few days rest each Rockets will have to get their heads back into the game and remember what has made them successful up til this point. Big games needed by…well, everyone; but look for a little brother-on-brother violence as the Landry Brothers meet up against each other. I’m taking Carl in that fight ;)

Starting for your Houston Rockets:

Image

PG – Aaron Brooks

Image

SG – Trevor Ariza

Image

SF – Shane Battier

Image

PF – Luis Scola

Image

C – Chuck “The Truck” Hayes

Also Starring…

Image

Carl Landry, as “The Man”

Image

Kyle Lowry, as “The Shortest 7-footer Ever!”

Image

David Andersen, as “Damage Assessment”

AND…
Image

Chase Budinger, as “Welcome Back, Rookie!”

Featuring:

Image

The Rockets Power Dancers

Image

Ed O’Neill, as “Al Bundy”

Image

Another Rockets Power Dancer throwing it down!!!

Image

And Jesse “The Body” Ventura, as the non-biased commentator

Starting for the Knicks:

Some dudes...

We need the L&L Boys big time for this game! We can’t afford to take any team for granted!!!

GO ROCKETS!!!

With the Knicks letting this week's deadline pass without making a roster cut, the contract of rookie Marcus Landry was guaranteed for the rest of the season.

That also guaranteed he will get his first NBA meeting with his older brother, Rockets forward Carl Landry, and that he would have plenty to say about it before Saturday's game.

“He's been talking trash, and he will keep talking trash,” Carl Landry said. “He is getting to Houston early, and we'll go out to eat with my mom and my grandmom. He's been shooting me text messages, ‘I know every move you do, and I'm going to stop it, and I'm telling all my teammates your favorite go-to moves and countermoves.' He's just talking trash, brother talk. It's going to be fun, especially if he gets a chance to be in the game.

the landry bros might go head to head on this one. techincals, flagrants, suspensions, its all there, at the toyota center at 5:30pm . cant wait to see some brotherly blood

The Rockets need to get their act together. As far is tomorrow is concerned, supposeably Houston begins the EASIEST schedule in the league as opposed to finishing the toughest start in the NBA. I haven't looked into the schedule but if this is true then we can definable make a run and fight for home court advantage in the post season. Lets start by kicking the Knicks ass!

This should be an entertaining game. I'ma have to look for some cheap tickets and if I find em I just might go to this game.

“We’ve had slippage in the chemistry department,” forward Shane Battier(notes) told the Rockets’ official Web site. “You can just tell by the way we play. We haven’t been as unified at both ends of the court. You can say that with pretty good confidence because the second group that comes in, the guys off the bench, have great chemistry.”

Yup, that's why I've been saying time for a new starting lineup..

change i not always for the best, at least not yet.

few things to look at for the knicks in order are:

1. Jared Jeffries - He will never be a statistical freak, but his defense has won us many games this year.

http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_ ... d-jeffries

2. Wilson Chandler - He is driving to the rim and not settling for the three. Hustling everywhere looking great.

3. Danilo Gallinari - Great shooter and now that is opening up lanes to the rim. Creates for himself and others.

4. David Lee - He now has that midrange jumper down and is looking like an allstar.

You sir are in a win/win situation. Should you guys win, you get your team back on track. If you lose, then you get to watch Jazz fans cry as the Knicks would officially be the 8th seed or even 7th seed in the east if the Bobkittens lose to Memphis tonight. :)

Hey guys, good luck---as a basketball fan you just can't help but root for those hardworking teams like Houston(except for tonight of course). Houston is one of those teams where I can't even find one player to hate on. Also I believe you guys have the best or definitely top 3 coach in the league.

It'll be a tough game for us and I'd be surprised if we can pull out a win but we've been playing better recently so there is some hope.

Al Harrington is out BTW giving you guys a little break as he is our leading scorer along with David Lee.

I don't care if the Knicks win by 50. Come to think of it, I don't care if the Knicks win the title. (Hell, why not?) Just so long as Utah takes one in the pooper.

Go Rockets...but don't go too hard.

They can continue their quest to keep Utah from getting a first round pick AFTER this game..
