HOUSTON - The Vipers are sending another player to the Houston Rockets.

Sources within the Vipers' organization tell CHANNEL 5 NEWS, the Rockets will add Rio Grande Valley's Garrett Temple to their roster tomorrow.

In exchange for Temple, the Rockets will be sending Will Conroy back to the Vipers as his 10-day contract with Houston has expired.

Temple was averaging 14.9 points with RGV. Meanwhile, Conroy saw action in two games with the Rockets after being called up on January 29.

Conroy is expected to join the Vipers in Fort Wayne on Tuesday when they take on the Mad Ants.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

smart..

We are letting both players we liked in the preseason get some run with the team in case of a trade/injury...

And we save a 10 day contract for Conroy incase we need it later w/o having to sign all season.

Jonathan F. says most of the 10 day contract of temple will be during the all star break so we'll probably sign conroy again after that unless there is a trade made

chase budinger will be our back up point guard vs Miami

this signing doesn't make sense
i don't know what our management is thinking

temple is not a pg
i doubt he will get any playing time
brooks is going to play 40+ min until lowry return
i have no idea who else on our team can handle the ball under pressure and cross the mid court

we are not going to get anyone valuable in return from t-mac
i don't understand why we don't just let him play

Lowry isn't a sure thing yet judging by the Philadelphia game. I'm pretty sure Temple is a combo guard, he played some point in the D-League anyway.

Why not get Antonio Anderson....... Puts up better numbers and he can play four positions.

played 4 games for us in preseason and only got 1 ast in total of 47 min
that's some combo guard we got there

like i said, the management is doing thing we don't understand
every team need the 3rd pg
and we decided to keep Pops instead of Conroy (we have bunches of pf already)
turnout we waived him and now searching for someone to play the 3rd pg role

I believe you can only sign a player to two 10-day contracts before signing them to a contract for the remainder of the season.

This signing makes sense that we only have more game before the all-star break. If the Rockets like Conry then they would waste his 2nd 10 day contract consider we are about to have a week off.

A trade will in all likelihood not involve a player from the D League......not sure why people continue to think it would....and a player from the D League does not make any of our rotation players expendable....they are in the D League for a reason.

to Lowry, wear your adidas, stop wearing those Nike Hyperdunk, especially low one, it will messed up your ankles
