Taking pics at Rockets games

Hi, sorry if this was discussed before, but I've gone through several pages and did not see the topic discussed anywhere.
My question: How strict are the Toyota Center staff when it comes to the type of photo equipment used. For instance, would there be any issues with me using a Canon 28-70 F2.8, with the lens hood on a 40D? No flash would be used. I would only be taking pics for personal use, nothing professional.
I'm planning on attending a game and would like to take some pictures to remember the event and also to share with friends and family. I'd rather not lug the cam and lens with me only to find out I'm not allowed to use it. So if any of you have any knowledge/experience with this type of thing, please let me know.
