http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/ ... ries_hill/What? Three **** forwards/two **** forwards and a **** guard? Harrington/Hughes don't really matter because they're only a 31 game rental...but Jeffries and Hill was the best we could do? Maybe Morey waited too long...
EDIT: didn't see this part:
In a part of the deal described as "fluid," the Knicks might swap 2011 picks with the Rockets and/or send their 2012 pick to Houston. One of New York's 2010 second-round picks could also be sent to the Rockets.
Wow, this changes everything. This is a pretty good trade...especially if things don't work out for the Knicks.

i dont mind this trade at all. jeffries expires next year which is good and he can defend all positions, including 6'0 ft chris paul (cant stop him but the fact that you can put him on cp3 is effing crazy son, word to god son).
jordan hill can be chris bosh like

, dont have to worry about tanking to getta 1st round pick

doesnt really matter to me if we get al or hughes, both expire and both can help in good ways. hughes can help w/ our mediocre perimter play and decent defender. al can help spread the floor which scolandry desperately need since they're inconsistent.
we dont getta star player but o well, we can try this or next offseason . not like iggy or martin would make us contenders this year, playoff experience is wat this team should go for. getting more role players w/o giving up any of our core is GENIUS.

if we get harrington we can make the playoffs. if we get hughes...eh, depends on how good jj does for us on defense

If we get that additional 1st-round draft picks, I think it's a good deal. Mind as well stash up some future draft picks since we're not going to get an all-star in return. As far as Hill, he hasn't seen a lot of minutes but he was a top prospect and a lottery pick. He was also considered the second best forward behind Blake Griffin. I don't know how good Hill will be in the future, but he's definitely going to be better than Joey Dorsey.
It's probably the best offer that's available, and those potential lottery draft picks could benefit the team in the future.

we do need lots of help with inside defense, even w/ yao since we dont want him to average 25-30min next year IF HE CAN COMEBACK . jeffries game is defense and he's got size . harrington can complicate things way too much tho, but he can spread the floor so w/e , it'll help scolandry's inconsistent game and prolly make it CONsistent instead, who knows i dunno but better than having 23mil in another timezone

and i forgot the draft picks could make up for no all stars on this team, we can package a trade w/ one of those picks for an all star in the future or something

Well we aren't taking any dead weight and get some prospects, but I'm more interested in the picks we end up with more than anything else. Given Morey's (short) history of finding steals in the draft he could turn a number of picks into some quality players. And given it's the knicks we're talking about here it's very possible they'll be lotto picks, though of course with their looming cap room it's possible they can turn that team around very quickly as well.

Jared Jeffries.... 2010 FA is now out of the picture. Carl Landry/Scola are about to be expendable, I have a sick feeling we're not going to be keeping Landry...

2010-2011 was already out of the picture. The cap room that would have been there would have been a joke.

Because of Jordan Hill? If anything I feel like the Rockets might be shopping Scola this summer. :/

For the life of me, I can't figure how you ladies keep forgetting the One Immutable Truth:
Daryl Morey never makes the expected trade.
OK, damnit?
Relax.

Dude, I want no part of Lebron or Dwayne Wade. I've just never seen anything special about them.
I might give up Garrett Temple for Tyreke Evans, if the Kings throw in a second round pick.
Shaq would be a good signing. I'm thinking 5 years, 111 million.
