We all are hurting a bit. Tmac is as good if not better than we all ever thought he would be. How do we go from here rebuilding knowing we **** up yet again. We have lost Landry and now we have lots TMAC, 26poingx for knicks today. Should we enter rebuild phase|

Calm down skippy. Lets be realistic even though T-mac could play he insisted on being almost 100% and after he messed up his relationship with the coach and management do you really think they would believe him? It made sense they didn't, even though I feel they should have given him a chance. So the chances of him playing for rox was quite slim, and we all knew he was going to be traded soon. In that sense Morey made the best out of the situation and made a really good move. K-Mart even though he struggled tonight he is one of the most efficient scorers in the league and is easily good for 20ppg every night. Hill could easily surpass Landry if he puts in work he has a lot of potential, but obviously potential isn't everything. Don't forget the picks which could give us some nice players, just look at Morey's resume when drafting and that was with low picks. When Yao comes back hopefully he'll be 18/8 type of player. Yao and a nice shooter in K-Mart is nice to have. And losing Landry stings but Scola can handle himself down low until next season.Plus with all the assets we have now we could get some nice players in return so don't panic just yet.
Aaron Brooks,Klowry
K-Mart,Birdinger
Ariza,Battier
Luis Scola,Hill,Hayes
Yao, (Camby type) ,Armstrong,
That looks like a contender to me.

give it some time, it's not like we'll have a shot at the championship this year

I don't feel bad for the Rockets, the fans yea.
I pray when Yao comes back this team adjust nicely to him.
But now I feel we have a weakness at the 4 spot again...
AND If I recall correctly, everyone not named McGrady or Battier had trouble feeding Yao the ball.
So I see our team as one of two things, a contender or in rebuild mode, end of next year...

I hope that Brooks and yao are the #1 and 2 options. Martin is a 3rd option on a championship team.

One loss to the Pacers and 23 straight losses to the Globetrotters.
Curly Neal really exposed Shane Battier on defense...but in fairness, Shane was riding a unicycle blindfolded at the time.
Clearly this is a time to PANIC!!!!!!!!!!

We aren't panicking just a little disappointed with the loss of Landry...
We all know this is for next year, but I think we all want Martin to show us something.
To hit the ground running, maybe thats asking too much, I think not since everyone talked about how he thrives in Adelman offense.
The Kings posters said things about him last night that just makes me uncomfortable as a HOU fan.
Things like:
joeyyowee wrote:Martin's defense, rebounding, and passing were better than it usually is. His shot was absolutely horrible though.
His Defense was ****.
He doesn't box out.
His passing was just avg. nothing special.

Don't want to too negative after one game but Martin's body language... not good.
He gets down on himself VERY easily.
We don't need any mentally weak players...
I dont want to see players getting into his head and crucial games.

I don't know what's there to feel bad about.
Martin played well with the Rockets first team despite having an off night shooting. We're in a better position for a S&T and in the future in the draft.
I hope TMAC plays well so well in fact that the Knicks or some other poorly run team throws him a ton of money in the offseason screwing up their future with his attitude and bad back.
We get Yao's low post threat back and we're a championship contender again.

You gave us McGrady for two of the worst players in the NBA in Jeffries and Hill. Thank you

Heh don't mean to be trolling, I just hate those two players we gave away so much and I'm happy they're gone. I'm grateful to you guys for taking them from us and I don't want you to experience the same heartbreaks that we Knicks fans have had to endure, especially with Hill.

sorry but half a season and 10mpg was not enough to get a good evaluation on Jordan Hill's talent. Guy is super athletic has only been playing basketball for 5 years TOTAL and had 3 different head coaches at Arizona. Guy has alot of room to improve and if anyone can do it, its' Adelman.
Thanks for the lottery picks!

hehe no problem. Just wait til you hear him talk, he sounds like an idiot. I'm not bashing the Rockets, I'm bashing Hill. This guy is a trainwreck. I'm so glad I can finally stop being a homer of his now.

By the same note, you'll really enjoy McGrady's coherency if you keep him long enough

5-7 in the 12 games after getting Clyde in 1995, losing to EVERY good team and 2 bad ones.

I like the trade for Houston Kevin Martin fits well, and t-mac wasnt playing with Houston. Nobody knows if he can play like he did consistently again. The only part is I don't know why they had give up Landry when t-mac is an expiring contract. But they still have Scola,Hayes still they could of gave someone else up for him he was having a good year. Rockets could be in good shape next season once Yao gets back. However this year the best they can do is compete for a playoff slot, but at least your set up for the future.
