Dorsey Waived

Never posted on this board before
, but the wiretap says the Kings just waived Dorsey. Do you think the Rockets would be interested in bringing him back in the offseason, or do you think the Rox have moved on?

Probably not, but you never know for sure with Morey.
Most Rockets fans like Dorsey. He's shown some flashes, kinda seems to have all the potential to become a Ben Wallace type of player, but then there are some work ethic questions and there seems to be some Adelman/FO dislike for Dorsey who also seems like a headcase/not very coachable:
Kings cut Joey Dorsey largely for clownish behavior, source says. They don't consider him bad guy, but coaches feared his act rubbing off.

Its a shame the guy seems to have an IQ lower than Mr Potatoe Head. I thought he could be a legit role player at least.

I'd like him back if he either developed an IQ or spontaneously evolved past the last epoch.
Complete sentences are a definite plus.

If we pick up Dorsey and he becomes a decent player... it must be considered then that Morey has literally robbed the Kings and Knicks trade with us.

Ehh he'll grow up sooner or later. Isn't he making the minimum anyway? I'd give him another chance.

Undersized players that have no offensive game have to put in extra work to become decent.. Dorsey just doesn't have the drive.

He showed flashes though and is signed to really cheap deal. We should bring him back.

I might be more pessimistic about Dorsey if it wasn't for the fact that he looked good when he finally got time this year. It seems to me, whatever it is, he's a guy whose practice habits, personality, something rubs coaches the wrong way and it holds him back, but when he finally gets the chance he plays well. He dominated Summer League, he dominated the D-League, he finally gets a handful of games to play in the NBA and he does a good job. And the Rockets could use him, but they seem to be committed to developing Jordan Hill, who so far is every bit the "bad rookie" D'Antoni calls him.

Always hoped Dorsey could have become a Ben Wallace type player with us, but it seems that he hasn't improved as much as the Adelman and Morey would like in, what, 2 years?
As for Toronto over us, I'm pretty sure that the main reason is PT.

Agreed with everything but the "bad rookie" bit. How would that be?
He's shooting well, rebounding pretty well, drawing good fouls, not turning the ball over
too much (could use some improvement, but lots of guys have that problem early on). Seems like his main things to improve are his foul rate and a bit on defense.
