I'm sorry to also pull a Debbie-Downer and say that when Hanson does retire; if we want a solid kicker for another long span of time then we might have to use a nice value draft pick at that time, which will serve as an extra detraction from the quest of trying to solve the rest of our team needs, which is at a relatively higher number today than it should be in my estimation.

Ervin hasn't shown much this year, besides a number of missed plays, not exactly heartbroken he's gone.

indeed Ervin is not a special player, and every year there seems to be some very tough RBs to cut at the final cut day. There will be at least 5 RBs (if not many more) out there who will be more interesting prospects than him that get cut.
