Saturday, August 14th will be our first look at the 2010 Detroit Lions.

any predictions?

awww yeahhhh

I predict we win this one. Dennis Dixon at QB dont scare me! And we have a lot of guys who will be busting butts to win a roster or starting spot, like Follett

Ben Roethlisberger wants to play. I don't get why he's allowed to be with the team at all right now. Is he not a member of the team during OTA's/Pre-season? why doesn't that count with the suspension? :roll:

Staffort again had and int and the lowest passer rating of all 3 lions quarterbacks .
Same old lions ,int,fumble,too many penaltys = loss lions-7 pitt-22
also Too many up the middle runs and offence too predictable but this is preseason.
better luck next week.

The Lions certainly can't be happy about the injury situation to backup linebacker Jordon Dizon, who will be lost for the season with a knee injury he suffered early in the second quarter.

After the Lions starters left the game, the offense got bogged down and the defense made too many mistakes. The Lions' backups couldn't add a single point while the defense suffered.

sucks that we lost Dizon. homie isn't anything special, but was a nice nickle backer and good for depth. Our LB core is razor thin....we need to sign some guys

as far as Stafford being bad according to Kell, thats not what i am reading (i couldnt watch the game). Staffords pick was off Best's hands and the starters left with a 7-3 lead against a good defense (i know its preseason but the starters should have been out there). His numbers were fine and it was the first preseason game so Kell frankly i dont know what you are talking about

Stafford looked great. His INT was thrown into Jahvid's hands but Best popped it up and the defender caught it. He was 8/11 and had two really good drives even though one was negated by Dorseys fumle. The other resulted in a CJ touchdown.

Our starting D-line looked most impressive. Suh was getting doubled right out of the gate and KVB/Avril made them pay getting all sorts of pressure on Leftwich. KVB had two hits on Byron and Avril had a sack. We were up 7 to 3 when we removed our starters and brought in all the subs.

DeDe Dorsey looked bad. Amari Spievey got reemed out by Cunningham on the sidelines. Cohen had mulitple penalties that cost us field position. Best looked timid to start the game, ut he had a couple good plays and finished with a respectable 29 yds on 6 rushes. It would have been a good start for him if he didn't pop up the catch for the INT.

Pittsburgh really didn't do much besides run on our 3rd stringers. Mostly after the hour long rain delay. Final score be damned, our starters did well against them.
