Possible Lion's Tampering?

Post#1 » by TSE » Tue Aug 9, 2011 5:09 am

According to Ricky Williams, we did...

“For me, last year when we played the Lions, Scott Linehan, who was the offensive coordinator here with coach [Nick] Saban, he came up to me after the game, and he said that if you need a home, we’d love to have you on our team,” Williams said.

Wow, this seems unlikely to be true, perhaps Ricky is just making it up because we upset him during negotiations? Say it ain't so Scott.

If tampering keeps popping up we will not have any draft picks, when will the lions learn.
Defence Wins Championships,we need to return to the Bad Boy era.

Well if you ask me, we could cut down on our tampering by hiring good Coordinators. This wasn't Mayhew or Schwartz, last time it was Gunther, and this time it's Linehan if it's true. These guys don't earn their paychecks on doing their jobs well to begin with, so I don't see why we have them on the team continuing to get slack for not performing like professionals. Both of these men are already past the point that they should have been fired, and they are on borrowed time. They don't deserve the chance to earn their jobs back with results from this season, that opportunity should belong to somebody new, and somebody much better. They are poor gameplanners and teachers of the mechanics of the game, Gunter probably a lot moreso than Linehan, but still he comes up short on coaching talent himself, and we need to do better as a team in managing not only our players but ALSO our coaches!
