Jenkins should be cheap though. A 4/5 rounder may get him, certainly worth that little risk.

Punter in the 3rd FTW!!

Jeff — Any word on how high the Lions had Broyles graded? I think your analysis of them picking Burleson's not-so-distant-future replacement is spot on, and that also makes a ton of financial sense, but I'm just wondering where he was on our big board. I think this may be the best example ever of a "Mayhew PIck;" if the Lions gave him a first round grade, they eschewed everything else and simply took him.

P.S. — Regarding the Jags taking a punter in the 3rd round ... well, they do have to punt a lot ...

No, the Lions needed WR depth.

Let's just hope Cousins isn't the #1 player left on our board

Any defensive player that's not a DT would be dandy. OL would be fine too

①I think it's a pretty good pick. The 2nd round pick is not what's going to get the Lions over the hump. You get the guy you think can make you stronger long term. I'm just sad Kellmell got someone to go all fanboy idol over.
②When did Drew Brees get an apostrophe in his name?

We've gotta go beer vendor with this next pick, right? I'd go with Gus Vontrelli. He pours a mean cup and had a 4.13 mug fill on his pro day.

Great pick! Now that's a good one. Mayock really talked him up and I keep seeing a 2-3 rd grade on him. I'm very pleased

I am very pleasantly surprised at Bentley. Immediate contributor as inside nickel corner. Dude plays bigger than his size and does not lack confidence. Extremely physical and quick in short range. He can blitz too. Not a great jumper or ball skills guy.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game
