I would like him in Detroit honestly... but I think that he's trying to be eligible for another year at USC. SJ would be a good 6th or 7th round pick.

He accepted his invitation to the Senior Bowl - I don't think a player can play in the Senior Bowl and still come back and play in for the school the following season.

From what i can tell, he has never taken a Redshirt year and could apply to be a 5th year Senior. But all indications are that Johnson is going to try and go pro instead

this could help, though its a month old

One guy that really impressed me in watching these bowl games - Antonio Brown (CMU).

He'd be a guy I'd look at drafting in the later rounds if still there....

Thank god Millen sin't around anymore or all these Michigan guys that keep getting mentioned would get drafted over more talented guys. Please, no more Michigan kids who had one good bowl game.

Some great news about the Lions scouting draft prospects. The Detroit Lions coaching staffs will be coaching the North squad in the Senior Bowl this year. Giving our coaches and scouts, first hand knowledge of players.

They'll see them up close and personal. Find out what type of players on and off the field they are. See them up close in practices, meetings and game situations. Besides the 2nd pick, this is probably the best thing for our team right now. :D

One of the guys our coaching staff will be working with is OG Mike Iupati from Idaho. I know some guys on here have been talking about him.

Iupati is one guy that I highly doubt we would get. We have too many dire needs on defense for that 2nd round pick to be messing around with an OG. We're not in position to take an OG high for our team. Look for the Lions to possibly sign an OG in FA instead.

I completely understand that sentiment, since our D is the worst of all time. Really, i do. And i do think the D has to be almost every pick.

At the same time though, this team has so many holes that i dont think we should pigeonhole ourselves into one mindset, i.e. draft only D. We should draft BPA, as long as it isnt a QB, TE, WR or LB early, within reason of course. If Iupati is the best player on the board at that spot, and we think we have a franchise RG or LG, i think we should take a long look at him. Our guards suck

ATL for sure. Maybe the 2010 free agency one? We're starting to get some lists up about free agents that may or may not be restricted depending on the CBA.

I agree with this whole-heartedly, which is why I don't understand some mocks that have us taking Russell Okung at #2 since we need a OT or not drafting a RB because we need a CB. We have MANY needs. Which is why the Lions shouldn't pass on better talent when it fills another need.

Apparently if Suh is taken number 1, Seattle would like to move up and trade there 2 first round picks.

So it would either be Suh, or a combo of Joe Haden or Eric Berry (If he slips to 6) and someone. Brian Price, Anthony Davis, Bruce Campbell, Derrick Morgan.

Then, trade our 34th pick for two of NE's 3 2nd rounders and get two of the following:
Javaier Arenas
Terrence Cody
Taylor Mayz (if he slips.. his stock is already falling off the chains as it is)
Brandon Ghee
Eric Decker
Kareem Jackson

Then our 3rd rounder options would be:
Brandon Graham
Mike Johnson
Patrick Robinson (heard his draft stock is falling through the roof)
Corey Wooton
Kyle Wilson
Darrell Stuckey

I'm loving this right now!! So many options!
This is just one of many scenarios:
Eric Berry
Bruce Campbell
Terrence Cody
Javair Arenas
Patrick Robinson

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

(1)Suh
(2)Cody
(3)Robinson

This is completely hoping that Cody and Robinson REALLY do slip to the 2nd and 3rd round... but with Suh and Mt. Cody in the middle, our DE's and LB's would have ALLLL the room to do whatever they want!

Hunter ..... Suh ..... Cody ..... Avril

With Suh being the next Richard Seymour and Cody being the second coming of Shaun Rodgers, I don't see how any offensive line could contain us cuz Suh and Cody are used to being double teamed and OLineman wouldn't be able to double team cuz there's too much talent on that line and behind them.

*wets pants*

St. Louis is going to draft Suh or trade the pick to somebody that will. That's my prediction right now and that could change come draft time.
