Your #4 and #5 are the same.....and your #2 is old (ancient - from Dec 2010?). Try again.

I think its safe to say the FFToolbox writers are a joke.

That or did you just pick the oldest mocks on purpose? Look at the two most recent ones on there:

1) http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/2011 ... ?writer=22 (has Jimmy Smith off the board by #11)

2) http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/2011 ... ?writer=19 (has us taking Jimmy Smith @ #13)

quote:The Lions need a bigger back to compliment Best, but there aren’t big backs that fit the 13th overall pick in this draft. Although Mark Ingram is a good inside runner, he doesn’t qualify as a big back.

But the best bargains in that area tend to come later in the draft. Remember what James Starks, a sixth-round pick, did for the Packers last season, and undrafted waiver claim LeGarrette Blount for Tampa Bay

I do not want Jimmy Smith on this team. He can cover with the best of them, but he can't tackle!! Schwartz and Mayhew has already shown what they'll do to cornerbacks that are great cover corners, but can't help out in run support. Phillip Buchanon, Leigh Bodden, Dre Bly.

Smith is no different. Check out this list of game tape I picked apart:

Jimmy Smith Vs. Cal
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vY06HXzEb0

0:13 - He was flat out scared to hit a quarterback
0:58 - For being 6'2", he should have gotten a hand on that ball and should have been a catch
1:25 - Yeah, he caught up to him, but do you see how poor Smith's tackling is? He just doesn't know how to do it. That's an EASY wrap up or push out of bounds but he got scared and shied away from the hit and got in a arm war with the receiver.
1:50 - WR just manhandled him. I don't trust this guy AT ALL in run support.
2:07 - The reverse was ran right at him and he scored a TD, but there were a ton of Bears blocking for the runner.

Jimmy Smith vs. Oklahoma
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rzaqPIyPtg

0:15 - Terrible open field tackle. Yeah, he made the tackle but it was just terrible form and his shoulder pads hit the helmet of the RB.
0:28 - He had the play but jumped out of the way of the tackle.
0:44 - Thrown out of the play. Easily blocked.
1:08 - Nice tackle
1:30 - He sat there and watched his teammate miss the tackle instead of going in for the assist and allowed the RB to gain an extra 7 yards.
2:00 - He got layed out laying the wood, and the RB was unprotected and didn't even have time to lower his shoulder. It was a free shot. Not a good sign of tackling strength.
2:10 - That was soooooo soft. HIT THE GUY!
2:23 - Completion (For all you "11 completion" guys, this is one of them. Not a knock, just figured you all would like to see it.
2:35 - Pass interference in the endzone. Got called off, but it was.
3:18 - RB dragged him for a good 8 yards.

Jimmy Smith vs. Missouri
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Db4x3KRlZEc

0:09 - Soft
0:32 - Almost got dragged 5 yards into the endzone by a RB, but got help and stopped him 1 inch short of 6 points.
0:57 - Holding call in the redzone. Terrible play.
1:26 - Thrown out of the play which lead to a huge run just stopped at the goalline.
1:55 - Awesome interception.
2:15 - Easily blocked on a fake fieldgoal run. Only guy able to make a play and didn't even try to fight the block.... which could have been easily shedded.
2:50 - Offsides. Went for the jam before the snap of the ball and touched the players helmet... than gets COOKED on the route.
3:09 - Got juked and missed the wide open tackle for loss.
3:18 - Another one of his completions. Seems like it's the same route that he keeps getting completed on. Those short in's.
3:32 - Completion, but on a different route.
4:19 - Just watches as the RB drags 3 defenders for 5 yards. Doesn't even help out in run support.

Brandon Harris looks too much like Brandon Flowers. Same height, first name, great hips, good speed, and good ball skills.

I like him as a potential pick.

kell....its funny how making one's own judgement works.

It really is harder than just copying and pasting links to what other people think.

Where's Ras-I Dowling? Didn't see him at the combine. Is he hurt?

Reason I didn't see Ras-I Dowling was cuz he ran his 40 and pulled a hammy.

Pulled up early, and still got a time of 4.40

Darn, he's a good CB prospect we could look at after rd 1.

Notable 40 times (unofficial ATM) from the 2nd group:

Patrick Peterson = 4.32
Buster Skrine = 4.29
Jimmy Smith = 4.38
Aaron Williams = 4.53

Missed the 1st group, so I didn't get the 40 times for Harris or Prince. Can anyone fill us in?
