double agreed.

Defense and O-line. These are the priorities in the draft

for some small school thoughts....

how about Jared Veldheer from Hillsdale (yes that Hillsdale). For a third or 4th round pick he could be worth the risk, especially given his ridiculous size at 6'9'', 320. A few years of good coaching and we could have a LT for the future

or the kid from Umass, Ducasse. could play guard or tackle. will need time, but who doesnt on this team.

6'9 scares the Hell outta me lol But who knows... maybe he can be the next Jonathon Ogden.

Yeah i mean 6'9'' is probably too big for the NFL, but the length it gives is intriguing. And he is supposedly a pretty good athlete. Technique can be taught...you cant teach that size. Worth a flier in my books

He would be Brandon Graham's and Dwight Freeney's dream match up.

I heard that the Lions were also interested in free agents.

I expect Mayhew and Schwartz to explore all thier options. If they are looking to move that pick, then they will expect value in return. We just have to wait and see.

in case anyone else is curious like me, here is the value chart for each pick according to ESPN

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/n ... id=2410670

The Seattle trasde, 6 & 14 for 2, works almost perfect on the value scale. just sayin

That's not the right chart, it's not even close to comparing pick values. Get a new chart or build your own one but don't cite a broken chart that doesn't make any logical sense in trying to justify a trade.

One of the ESPN writers sited it in their article i believe yesterday, I was just hoping it was helpful to someone. Feel free to post your own if you have a problem with it, you dont need to be a jerk about it

edit: http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_ ... ng-at-no-2

heres the link to the story. its just one value chart and can vary greatly im sure. again, just a baseline here

That value chart is actually pretty legit and close to the actual NFL value chart that is used during the NFL draft.

But anyways.... this is something us Lions fans will love to read.
Adam Schefter "guarantees" that the Rams will draft Bradford.

dream scenario. It gives us our pick of DT and would make us more attractive for a trade if a team wanted to move up for either.

that would be dreamy. though i must admit i would be leaning towards taking Suh instead of trading

The Jimmy Clausen talk has dwindled and I'm hearning more about Bradford being a top QB choice while Clausens been dropping. It really wouldn't shock me. The Rams has explored ideas to bring in QBs and nothing has materialized.

They are like we were last year. All brand new. The team will want to build around a center piece player and in the NFL, it's almost always a QB.

If Bradford is drafted at #1, not only will the Lions have their choise of McCoy or Suh, but I think their ability to trade down opens up if Suh is available. I'm not sure I'd do it though. It would really depend on the offer.

Does make Suhs workouts at the combine all the more interesting.
