Lions get their 7th-round pick back after tampering appeal

The lions lost again on this deal when they reach the playoffs next year they will lose a 6th round pick 2012 they should have accepted the 7th this year what a bonehead move trying to get out of it.
Quote:The Detroit Lions scored a mini-victory by appealing their tampering punishment when the NFL said today it upheld its earlier verdict but changed the punishment to reinstate the Lions’ final draft pick.
The Lions still will swap fifth-round choices with the Chiefs — Kansas City assumes the Lions’ original No. 9 pick in the round (140th overall), while the Lions pick 23rd (154th overall) — but instead of forfeiting a seventh-round pick this year, the Lions will lose a draft choice in 2012.
I think it was a mini loss!
