Suh Suspension

Looks like Suh is going to miss at least 2 games(2 being the minimum maybe more). I agree 100% with a suspension but i think 1 game, and the ejection, would have been enough. Suh really hurt himself and his image by not apologizing right away. I'm disappointed in the guy, he's making it harder for me to defend him with his actions.

2 games sounds right and is probably not a bad thing. He needs a wake-up call and hopefully costing his team 1 game and potentially 2 more is exactly that

+1
If it was his first or even second incident I would only want one game, but the pattern of behavior and his delusional recalcitrance merits 2 games.

IMO the league should look into Schwartz for fostering this kind of play. He was responsible for Haynesworth, now Suh, was the guy that groomed Cortland Finnegan into a thug, and constantly encourages his defensive players to beat the hell out of their men. I'm probably more frustrated by Schwartz's antics than Suh because at least Suh does some positives.

I think his BS excuse warrants 2. He needs to realize he's not a child anymore and acitng like he didn't realize what he did(the look away) shows he needs a wake up call. i agree that Schwartz needs to establish some discipline. My question is where is van de bosch in all this. the vet leadership.

Not sure the 'wide 9' defence works for Suh and the other DTs.

The opposing team's OTs just push our DEs outside and makes doubling up Suh extremely easy - especially on running plays.

Not condoning his actions at all, just trying to understand where some of his frustration might be coming from.

I think the whole thing has been blown way out of proportion. It was bad but not the worst offense ever, not even close, and it's being made out to be like he has singlehandedly brought down the "class" of a city.

The media should get over it and move on to real news. He made a mistake that didn't injure anyone and wasn’t even obviously intended to hit the guy. He was stomping and being a tough guy and it happened to connect. It's stupid but to start questioning an entire team, organization and blaming the coach for running a gang of thugs it way, WAY over board.

The media is having fun connecting the dots from the Schwartz's handshake to Suh's stomp and some of them are just on a glorified witch hunt.

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh continues to show remorse for his actions on Thanksgiving, calling NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Sunday night to apologize according to ESPN.com's Adam Schefter.

lol, oh i'm sure that was sooo sincere too. Oh he called him Sunday evening? As opposed to immediately after the event? lol, yeah it's so on his mind to please Roger Goodell and think about him and his interests and to respect him and pay attention to what his wishes would be. And all that stuff. So sure that it took his dumbass agent until Sunday to figure out that he should advise his client to call the Commish and pretend to be sorry. Suh's better play on Sunday would be to take a position that an apology isn't warranted moreso than to wait this long to make the apology.

These aren't the statistics Ndamukong Suh was looking to compile in his second season — nine personal foul penalties, $47,500 in fines, $165,000 in lost salary and, as the NFL decreed Tuesday morning, a two-game suspension
