I know this is posted on the general discussion board, but thought I'd post it over here as well for some debate among our local posters.

Al Wilson, the star MLB from Denver was released. Who knows if he would ever even be half as good as he once was after suffering the neck injury last year but it couldn't hurt to bring him in and work him out to see if he could help us out. So whats everyone's thoughts?

his neck is really bad I doubt he plays this year, i've heard rumors that he might sit out this year and play for the broncs next year

Thats probably the most likely scenario, but for a team with so many needs if Wilson wanted to play before this season ends you would hope a team like Detroit in desperate need of help on defense would give him a look at the very least.

His agent isn't even allowing teams to give him physicals to try and sign him yet, so it doesn't look like he's playing in 2007.

What's the logic behind this?
