Pacman Jones

Post#1 » by Vinnie's Microwave » Fri Aug 10, 2007 9:09 pm

I know this is not a Lions topic, but I have to ask this question. Someone help me please. I read that the Titans have filed a restraining order against Pacman Jones for being with TNA wrestling. They say that there is language in his contract that prohibits him from wrestling (i.e. Big Ben in Pittsburgh riding his motocyle). How can the Titans (or the NFL) not pay Pacman his contract during the suspension and still say he can't make a living doing something else? I don't care if he is dodging cars for a living.

Don't get me wrong - I think the guy is a nut. But how can you tell someone he can't do something while at the same time not pay him his contract?

Pacman signed the contract, so the fault lies with his lawyers. Besides, playing in the NFL is a privilege. If a player does not abide by its rules, then he should accept the consequences.

I have worked a job with no compete clauses. So, if I cannot work for competetive companies for a 40k job, then so should Pacman for a million plus job.
