Detroit vs. Minnesota (Potential Blackout)

I just read on MLive that the Lions were given an extra 24 hours (4 pm Friday) to try to sell their remaining 2000 tickets for Sundays game or it will be blacked out in the local area. This sucks, we finally have an exciting offense and we may not even get to see the game.

Y'all will have to come to my side of the state to watch
The blackout rule is stupid--you can't sell the game out because you can't draw fans. So what do you do by blacking the game out? You take away the chance to build excitement for the team or expand your fan base. Brilliant marketing strategy

The Lions avoided a potential blackout on Sunday. The game will be seen in the local area afterall.

I guess we'll use this as the game thread...
Great first drive, the passing game looked amazing again.
We had the first 8 plays as passes, and looked very solid, but once again some troubles once we get in the red zone.
I think that once we get into 1st and goal territory we need to forget about the 4 WR set and bring in a set with a TE and maybe a fullback and try pounding it in.

Looks like Kitna is out for the remainder of the game with a concussion. That will hurt our chances for the offense to put up the amount of points we're capable of. Hopefully our defense can step up and play well in the second half and get us this victory.

Things are kinda falling apart without Kitna in there.

I hope we don't blow this.

GB had a big win today to start out the season 2-0.
Chicago will get the W against KC to improve to 1-1.
This game is pretty huge, even though its early, for both teams as far as momentum in the NFC north goes.

Looking at Gamecast and I saw it said Kitna 9 yd pass to Kitna. Is this a typo or did he complete a pass to himself?

The ball got batted at the line of scrimage, he caught it then ran for a nice pickup. He got popped pretty good and went flying, but dude totally won this game for us.

Am I totally confused, or do we not completely suck this year?
Johnson and Williams (and Kitna) FTW!

As long as we stay healthy on offense these Lions will be exciting to watch all season long. I also believe that as long as our defense continues to play well like they did today they will build more and more confidence in themselves which can only help towards us upsetting a lot of teams this year.
