I won't make a huge game thread for a preseason game, but it is tomorrow, Saturday August 15th @ Ford Field.
Who's excited?

Not playing a bad game but mistakes are killing us, especially penalties. Darby, Avril, Ervin.... all have cost us possessions and scoring opportunities. Just ridiculous.
I understand it's preseason, and I wasn't coming in looking for wins/losses, but careless mistakes (physical or mental) are frustrating.

Aaron Brown has been great so far. Our running game looks improved from last season, which isn't saying much, but still impressive so far. There has been a nice balance (rushing/receiving) so far this game.
23-17 in the 3rd. Only down 6 to the Falcons.

Aaron Brown with a touchdown and penalty on the celebration.
If the score holds up, Lions will lose 24-26 but there were some good things in the game.

^ haha. I'm more impressed with the run game and Aaron Browns performance, but a win is nice too. Especially when we had to come back in crunch time.
Penalties almost did us in.... but the team stepped up and showed heart. Nice to see.

I was the only one who believed the lions would win.

Stanton has a nice running game. If he can stay healthy, he'd make a nice backup QB. Stanton doesn't have a strong arm, but he's a good mobile QB. He'd be a perfect compliment to Stafford.
I think offensively, Aaron Brown made the biggest impression. His speed/athleticism was incredible. Him with Kevin Smith will be outstanding. Defensively, Stuart Schweigert made the biggest impression. His hits, especially late, really helped our offense get back on the field. I hope both guys make the team.
Quite few guys played well though. Derrick Williams, DeAndre Levy, the starting linebackers, Carson Butler.... The O-line also played really well. They played alot of different schemes, blitzes and such and really protected all three QBs.
I thought Stafford made some incredible passes. If Keary Colbert did drop 4 passes out of his hands, I think people would have been more impressed with Matt's debut. But he did some nice things out there.
I can't wait to have a full strength team and see Stafford with CJ/Pettigrew and Louis Delmas in action.

It was good. I watched on-line and then WWJ replayed it afterward so I could rewatch it.
I am glad we won, but the fact that the team came back in the fashion it did was most impressive. We were down 9 with 2 minutes left. Got downfield and a touchdown in 50 seconds!! Got a nice defensive stop, thanks in large part to Schweigert, and then Stanton ran downfield to get us in position to send Hanson out for the FG for the win. It was incredible!!
There were alot of penalties against us and the team could have crumbled, but instead they showed heart and kept on fighting. I really like the players on the team this year. Even if they lose alot of games, they look like they'll lay it all out on the field. Unlike teams in years past.

again, awesome. I know its preseason and it doesnt mean dick (see: last year), but still a very good sign. Really liked hearing how some of our guys came up huge. Stanton of all people?! Goodness

I don't think a preseason wins makes us favorites for the superbowl, but I do think the Lions will surprise some people this year.
Of course, parts of me wants them to do not so good, so that we can add some more top pick to the team.
