Calvin Johnson and Brandon Pettigrew worked out with the team and both said they feel great and hope to play Saturday.
Schwartz hasn't yet named the starting QB for the game.

I don't want to see him benched the first few games. Get him in there and throwing to CJ, Brown, Williams, Pettigrew, KSmith and let them learn each others moves. It can only help us down the line.
I love Manning telling the media that he is the QB he is because he was allowed to play and make mistakes right away. Especially since it's the media that is trying to dictate Stafford sitting on the sidelines.
The thing I've noticed in this preseason is the timing of the O-Line, besides a couple of time, the O-line has really given every QB enough time to make plays. Whether those plays work or not is up to the QB and targets, but the O-line has improved, you can see it.
DeAndre Levy had another wonderful game. I don't think he'll start the season, but he might be a starter by the end of the season with the way he's playing.
In fact, all of our rookies have looked good out there. Follett had that massive tackle with the special teams, Gronkowski had the 2pt conversion, Williams/Brown have looked GREAT, Delmas/Pettigrew will improve with more time. Stafford looks ready now. We haven't seen much of Hill, but according to the coaches, he's really impressed them even though he's a project. We really have a chance to see 6-7 of the rookies have rotation roles and stick around for the long haul. When's the last time we could say that?
