The Packers have the talent on defense to physically man up on every possession. The defensive coordinator came out after week one and emphatically announced they were a zone team. This week the same guy announces they're now going to be more aggressive, something idiot morons like me and ESPN analysts can see.

I don't understand how Barry has a job.

There are advantages of the zone over man coverage but you have to play to your strengths. This is not zone personnel.

League average for man coverage though 5 weeks is 29.4% (out of total defensive plays)

Packers are at 23.1% (11th lowest). Lions are highest at 54.6%

Our highest was 32% in week 3 @ TB which makes sense because they passed it like 50 times

No such thing as man every possession, but that number definitely needs a boost. Our CB's are better when you give them specific assignments rather than expecting them to be proactive while guarding grass. That's what Campbell and Amos are good at. Jaire, Douglas, and Stokes not so much apparently. A bit of a waste to only utilize their man coverage ability on 3rd and longs

Oh come on now, we are the GB Packers and subpar defensive and special teams coaching is what we are about.

Any Packer fan paying the slightest bit of attention over the past decade knows that the organization doesn't give 2 **** about hiring competent Defensive or (until this season) Special Teams coaches.

Joe Barry is just the latest addition to the Dom Capers, Mike Pettine, Shawn Slocum, Ron Zook, Shawn Mennenga and Maurice Drayton pantheon of coaching lightweights.
