Young's hitting .379 and slugging .655 after seven games. Right now, he's the ROTY favorite. It's a shame that neither Gordon nor Young have a shot at winning it, though, since Dice-K, no matter if he has comparable numbers, plays on a better team and will have the more gaudy stats.

I don't think that the voters will be as caught up in the hype as you think they'll be. They might even intentionally avoid voting for Matsuzaka (see: Morneau as MVP, last season). I think the best player will win, regardless of hype.

He's still one of the best players the Royals have right now. And that's not far from the truth

And Zimmerman's proven... Little bit of a funk out of the gate...
He has a 7 game hitting streak, breaking out of his funk, multiple hit games the last 3, and a grand slam...

Gordon has stuck out 21 times in 60 AB's!!!!!! You can make excuses for this guy all you want but no way did anybody imagine him batting .133 out of the gate with 21 K's in his first 60 AB's. Not even me and I thought he was overhyped. Zimmerman's been in somewhat of a funk and only K'd 11 times in 83 AB's... He's been hitting the ball but he's just been out of sync...

Zimmerman > Gordon. So what? Defensively? Come on.

Gordon strikes out a lot. So does Ryan Howard. Wowie.

But yeah, Zimmerman is better.

Rivera is 0-2 on save situations this season....why are we looking at stats in april again?
"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."
