Im much more willing to can either of the coordinators over fickell this year, but the first 15 games havent been pleasant.

They'll definitely get canned first, unless Fickell looks to bolt himself to Florida or FSU or something like that.

I know there was some talk among program insiders that Longo was on the hot seat even going into last offseason - that if Fick was going to can anyone, it was him. But Longo was installing a brand new offense with Chryst's recruits and whatever he wrangled out of the transfer portal, and his offense would not work without a quality QB. Hopefully one of these guys develops, because you can't just keep taking swings in the transfer portal with mediocre upperclassmen. Longo is going to have to actually develop a dude ala Howell or Maye.

Didn't expect to win but my excitement for Badger football is now at an all-time low :(

That Chez fumble was crushing. QB wise just play sunshine and move on from Locke.

Like I said in the WMU game - I don’t think I’m going to see many more good Badgers seasons in my lifetime. And I’m not that old.

It's so bizarre to be a fatalist after NIL has effectively democratized the sport.

I was so close.

My prediction was as 42-17. Just needed one more garbage time TD

Yeah, I believe Wisconsin will be an NIL titan just as I believe Montana is going to surpass California and become the largest state economy in the country. As long as we want it, we can do it.

It’s the same as it was before, except the secret edge for the Badgers (4 year development and depth while lesser teams have weaknesses) is essentially nullified with lesser teams getting to use the portal/steal our developmental guys. And the tougher schedule is the kicker.

Yep, I have never been more disinterested in Badger Football than when my dad had games on the radio in the late 80s/early 90s when we raked leaves. This era is the most uninspiring thing I’ve witnessed. I say this as an alumni from 98-01. This whole thing is a joke.

It was fun for a drive or two. Then it was sad. Then it was embarrassing. Then it was just depressing.

I’ll probably continue to tune in, for awhile at least. But that’s about it.

Get rid of Fickell purely so I don't have to look at T.E.A.M. anymore.

I have no idea how NIL is gonna ultimately steer these programs, but the Fickell era so far has certainly been pretty depressing considering the hype that he rode in on. Just some really heavy Gary Anderson vibes right now...

Gary Andersen was actually good imo. Brought in the 3-4 defense, recruited well, and brought Aranda, even if misfiring on the mobile QB/going crazy stuff.

I think the optimistic view of Fickell is the program had garbage talent left over. To rebuild it, we need to wait for the 24-26 recruiting classes since we aren’t buying star transfers.

Yeah, Andersen was a weird one. Not a good coach, but brought in a lot of good infrastructure that Chryst took advantage of.
