It's time to pull the plug on Locke, Longo, and most of these upperclassmen. Just let the young guys play

Are the people behind Locke worse than this? There is really no more "don't want to burn a redshirt" reasoning anymore. If a guy is THAT good down the line that you regret playing him early, he is probably a threat to leave for an NIL bag anyway.

Also I'm not historian but this must be one of the worst QB performances in Badger history no? 9-20, 72 yards, 2 picks that have lead to 14 points.

I think you’re answering your own question. Everybody else has paid for a premium, experienced QB. If he wasn’t possibly surpassing Locke, I think one can deduce we aren’t going to get a miracle by next year.

There is *ZERO* chance a non-top 5 QB recruit like Mettauer will be trusted with Fickell’s job next year. He’d get eaten alive against the gauntlet of a schedule.

I’m not sure if it’s TVD part 2 or somebody else, but there will be one, maybe two external guys in front of Mettauer next year. I do not give a **** if he plays this season.

Getting the score run up against IOWA is a new low.

Going to be interesting next year because they’re gonna need a bona fide good QB and maybe some depth behind…if we misfire or have another stupid injury to QB1 it could be rock bottom that will be hard to climb out of.

Welcome back to the seventies and eighties , never thought we would be good and then Barry came a long.this is bad , real bad! Nothing about this team and the direction they are going in stills any confidence. Just hope it won't be a decade or two before we get back to winning!

Just a pathetic performance across the board. Locke was bad, Longo was trash, the OL got manhandled, the DL & LB got bullied in a manner that is illegal in most states, & Tressel certainly didn't help any matters. Just an embarrassing performance by everyone on the roster. Wisconsin is in real trouble of falling to being totally irrelevant

After the Rutgers win….

By the way, I was not a huge TVD believer and I’m not convincing myself he makes much of any difference the way the season has gone and how he looked for a few games - but this is why they rented him and will have to do so again with a similar player or I guess TVD part 2.

You are risking an absolute dumpster fire if you don’t get yourself a top 50 QB. Guys like Locke and Mettauer are fun to dream of development in theory, but unless you have a young 5-star guy, you need to buy a QB…you will die with the 150th best QB like Locke.
