Definitely need to give Jacobs some time off down the stretch.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yeah, dude is on pace to have the most carries in a season since Ahman Green in 2003. MLF finally has his every down workhorse back, but we can't be pulling a Larry Johnson here and have him gassed by the time the playoffs roll around.

Yeah I would be limiting Jacobs workload starting this week. They absolutely need him fresh and trucking dudes in the playoffs.Ron Swanson wrote:Yeah, dude is on pace to have the most carries in a season since Ahman Green in 2003. Re: Saints Leadup (MNF)
If your options were:
A.) Play everyone. Win the last 3 games, get the 5th seed
Or
B.) Rest starters get the 6th seed
Which option leads to a better outcome this post-season? To me its clearly B, your opponent as the 5th/6th seed is equal (Bucs, Rams), your odds of hosting a conference championship game are incredibly low either way so it's a nonfactor. Your opponent in the divisional round will be either the eagles, Vikings or Lions who are all pretty equal in difficulty. There's just nothing to really be gained by going all out for the 5th seed.
Rest Jacobs the last 3 games, they don't need him to beat the Saints and Bears. Assuming the Eagles beat Washington this weekend I'd actually rest all the starters when they go to Minnesota. Vikings winning keeps pressure on the Lions and Eagles in the race for the 1 seed, rather all 3 of those teams have meaningful games to play in week 18 while the Packers get healthy.

I am still holding out hope Lloyd comes back. Having a fresh RB for the playoffs would be nice.

No clue what to expect from Musgrave but I bet LaFleur is excited for some 2 TE sets where both can stretch the defense. We have never really seen that before since Kraft “emerged” when Musgrave was out/hurt.
