I don't care about optics. Good for Wisconsin. Needed to happen eventually.

Absolutely
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm not even convinced it'll be bad optics. I think a lot of people are very, very over how college sports have been operating for the past several years and will be pro-anything which provides some semblance of stability. Miami fans will have a ton of ire (they already have), and his mouthy agent will try to make noise about it (which no one but Miami fans will listen to), but I suspect people either continue to not care or will otherwise be on Wisconsin's side.

Taking my bias out of it, I hope WIS wins just to show these contracts mean something. Might bring some stability to the sport. If WIS loses then tampering will forever be an issue

I don't expect Xavier Lucas to ever play for Wisconsin, so from an on field perspective i don't think much changes

My dislike of the current state of college football can be summed up by this thread. It used to be that whenever it was bumped in the offseason I was exited because it usually meant we landed a recruit.

Now when it is bumped, I dread that when I open it I'll find out one of our recruits has been poached. I can't even get excited anymore when we land someone because there is no guarantee they will ever wear red when it is all said and done.
