If our oline sucks it's either coaching or injuries.

Also Kinnard being in the NFL for three years and winning three Superbowls is crazy. Hopefully he sticks around and we make it four.

More info on the Kinnard trade:
https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/green-bay-packers-news/69779/green-bay-packers-news-darrian-kennard-trade-details-philadelphia-eagles-offensive-lineman

Kinnard got work at both guard and tackle this summer with the Eagles, so he should be able to provide depth at both positions. This is bad news if you’re Kadeem Telfort or Donovan Jennings, who were next in line for the ninth offensive line job with the Packers. Green Bay already preserved Travis Glover’s contract by placing him on the injured reserve for the full season. Rookie seventh-round pick John Williams is also on the physically unable to perform list.

Even though he’s been in the league for four years, Kinnard is only going to be a restricted free agent next offseason because of his time spent on the Chiefs’ practice squad in 2023. He’s on a $1.03 million salary for the 2025 season. For reference, the first right of refusal tender in 2026 is expected to be $3.45 million, if the Packers don’t want Kinnard to hit unrestricted free agency next year.

Does anyone know the reason behind having an inactive list every week? Players who are inactive still get game checks. Some who are inactive are injured and wouldn't play anyone but many are not. Why not just suit up everyone who is healthy?
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I believe the theory behind it is to make teams as even as possible so neither team has an advantage in having more available players
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

ESPN's top 100

54. X
67. Josh
87. Jordan

Any list is subjective of course, this one has some "interesting" rankings.

The conspiracy theorist in me always suspects ESPN of pandering to big market fandom, to increase views

Consistently ranking 4-5 QB's that have zero statistical case over Jordan Love has to be my favorite running gag of the offseason. It's like these guys are all in on it. The Dak stuff is just comical.

Maybe adding another variable to the cutdown calculus:

If we're not sold on the CB group -- isnt R. Douglas still out there in FA market?

He's just not a good football player. Crazy athlete and abilities but doesn't have the mindset.

Lot of guys like him have come before, more will come after ... will test physically off the charts, but if you cannot read/react and have natural instinct on the field, all of the physical traits are really irrelevant.

By comparison, is this part of the worry with Quay? Gifted athlete, but has often struggled with anticipation.

I think that's fair .. though, I think Quay is slightly ahead of Simmons, not not far. Quay makes big plays here and there..Simmons, for the most part, is just out there.

IIRC, Biasaccica was using Heath and Simmons as gunners on returns. Who's next up if Simmons is gone?

No surprise on Hardman being released. He looked like a JAG, on a fair tryout.
