I thought the same thing too but then had the 2nd thought of just how much energy his body would need to go in to healing from surgery and a broken collarbone at the same time.
Gonna need someone with a medical degree to way in on that one cause I have no idea if it could be detrimental to the healing process

Looks like he'd either have it immobilized for 8-10 weeks in a boot or have surgery with a recovery time of about the same. And of course he'd be in no condition to play football for awhile after that. I'm guessing they won't do either, he can continue to do cardio while the collarbone heals and be back on the field in about 8 weeks.
But I have no idea.
I am a nurse practitioner. While that's been used in mental health the last few years I did work in orthopedics before for a little over a year for the experience. Jones fractures are serious stuff and can become chronic if he continues to play on it without surgery, especially if he cuts the wrong way or gets hit at the wrong angle.
I have seen people have two surgeries around the same time and recover from both. It is possible but difficult. He wouldn't be able to use crutches to move around which isn't an issue as he can just use a knee scooter for the acute recovery time after Jones fracture surgery. The main issue would be coordinating the PT in a way that he can recover from both at the same time. This would be extreme and a lot of work but worth it if he really wants to come back this year. Better than recovering from clavicle surgery then coming back and injuring the foot more imo. If he injures that foot even more that could eventually lead to him feeling pain in that area for the rest of his life...at which point the NFL would consider him damaged goods and he would lose a lot of money.
