We swept the Lions but can't end up tied with them anyway. Our magic number is 2. While things look bleary right now, just get in and anything can happen. I'll remain optimistic until the season officially ends.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Optimist view: Assuming that Watson and Reed aren't done for the year, this is essentially the same group we had going into the postseason last year, and that team won 11-games and still played the Eagles as well as anyone did. We're still gonna be favored in each of the final 3-games. As vitally important as Micah's been to the defense, this was still a good unit last year without him (Top-6 scoring defense, Top-10 in pretty much every other metric). If Love had torn his ACL instead, the season's over, but you can weather the loss of even an MVP caliber defensive player.

With Parsons out, I expect Hafley to blitz a lot more, specifically using Edge & Quay. In 2024 we saw this a lot, and with Parsons here he has blitzed less frequently. If Watson is truly ok then maybe I can have a sliver of hope that the offense can carry an 10-15ish defense to a title.

I'm with you. I think we already seen it right after Parsons went out. I think it can work but the CBs need to play better for this to work.

Apparently Tom's injury is also not major

We need the defense to be average. We won't win any games because of them. But if Watson & Tom can get healthy for the playoffs I think it's possible the offense can go on a heater and make a run. But I'm not trying to diminish what happened yesterday. It's possible, but very unlikely

If he plays this season it will be with the Eagles but if you ask me his career is done.

What do you have to lose at this point? Call up Jaire and Zadarius Smith.

Well he's not going anywhere in 2026

Gary's base salary explodes from $7 mil to $18 mil. I would bet he's approached with a pay cut option- drop that to say $10 mil and guarantee it.

He is still absolutely a trade / cut candidate but there are many things to happen in the off-season.

Cutting Hobbs / Jenkins, and re-working or cutting Banks / Gary are necessary to keep the team as structured together.

My argument - these 4 have had minimal impact on the team's success this year and have huge salaries. You move on and pay Kraft / Walker / Watson / Enagbare / Quay / maybe even Rhyan all day, every day.

The LT position is most interesting to me - what do we do with Rasheed Walker? Here's what PFF thinks of him:

Overall Grade (2024): 68.4, ranking 44th of 140 qualifying tackles.
Pass Protection Grade: 79.6, ranking 21st of 140.
Run Blocking Grade: 54.1, ranking 107th of 140.

If he walks, your replacement is Jordan Morgan, who didn't play yesterday and has been broadly terrible. That's a big risk....

There's going to be a lot of action this off-season.

Quay, Rasheed and Enagbare can go. We can't pay everyone and I think they have good replacements in line for all of them. As for Morgan he didn't play yesterday because they now only see him as a left side of the line OL. If Rasheed got injured he'd be the one getting in. I still believe in Morgan, but he's a LT only in my book, in preseason he played exclusively LT and looked great, that's his natural position.

I don't know how soon the surgery will be or what the short term recovery is like but having Micah at practice, in the locker room and on the sidelines at games would be very beneficial.

If Phil Rivers can play sign me up to the JJ Watt circus. Hes only 36.
