Wow, remarkable looking stat-line by Roy. Bonderman wasnt too shabby himself.

I love great pitching duels and especially when we win them. I sort of feel bad for Bondermen though and I was surprised that they took him out.

Doc is a pure machine. What a game he pithced. Seriously nothing beats a pitching matchup. There was nothign better then seeing Doc come out in the tenth and then the Jays getting him the win with our 7,8,9 up. Love this team.

On a bad note- Frank Thomas is something like 2 for his last 23, has gone 0-4 in 4 of his last 6 games.

You only know Wells if you follow the game very closely. Wells does not get much coverage because he plays in Toronto.

Who hired that moron?

I have to disagree with you. I thought the announcers were outstanding. They seemed very knowledgeable about the Toronto players and gave props when it was due. I enjoyed listening to them very much.

They are probably not too far off with that Wells comment. When was the last time you saw a Jays game on ESPN? They brought up a good point with Halladay saying he enjoys playing in TO because there is less pressure, less spotlight. This is true, I remember reading about it. The latter kind of proves the former.

If you want to listen to some really biased commentators check out the White Sox and Hawk and DJ...brutal!

I thought Frank might have hurt us with that missed opp to cash in on a Sac Fly.

Agree completely. I thought the commentators were great, and I wish they could replace our duo with Jamie "i am soo boring" Campbell. The fact of the matter is the baseball fans in the States really dont give a crap about the Jays. Vernon Wells would be considered with the name of ARod, Jeter, Guerrero, Beltran, Howard, Pujols, and all the other great players in the game if he was in a big baseball city.

Didn't get to watch this game, it's a shame they didnt feature this game on Sportsnet with the great pitching duel.

I dont think the game was on ESPN...it was on FSN Detriot or something. The commentative was okay...but they appeared to be very bias toward the tigers.

How does a 2-1 game sounds like it was really good? I didn't see the game either but I mean except for Roy's 10 innings of work I don't think it was a great game

Anyway good to see that they were able to pull this one off.

A large middle finger in the air to games not televised

I pay freaking hundreds of dollars to Rogers every month between cellphone, landphone, internet, cable...and they can't even repay me by showing this fantastic-sounding game.

I can't believe I missed this game on tv. In Oakville, we don't get that stupid Rogers preview channel. Good one Uncle Ted.

I know it was on FSN, I was just bringing up a point that Wells is not seen by American audiences (ESPN national broadcasts) very often.
