Stay classy, Aaron Rodgers

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Mon Jul 21, 2008 4:09 am

I don't know if any of you checked out the ESPYs tonight, but Rodgers handled the whole Favre situation like a pro. He laughed at the jokes JT was making about Favre, and when JT approached and gave Rodgers a hug ("It's cool...keep focused man"), he played along.

Through this whole situation, Rodgers has said all the right things. He deserves his props, and even if you're a Favre supporter, you can't deny that Rodgers has been great throughout this whole situation.

Didn't watch it live but saw a few of the red carpet clips on espn.com. When we drafted him I thought he was a cocky, overrated player. Now, he hasn't played much, but I have more and more of a feeling that he could be a great professional as every day passes.

Yeah...Favre didn't look happy during JT's jokes. When JT hugged Rodgers, Favre covered his eyes and had a pained and uncomfortable look on his face, whereas Rodgers had a smile on throughout the whole thing.

I've supported Rodgers throughout this whole thing, and tonight helped me feel even better about it.

I saw it too. But was it me or did it look like Rodgers only purpose for being there was for comedy relief and to make Favre uncomfortable?

That being said, I agree that Rodgers handled the entire situation well and with complete class. It's a very tough situation for him to be in...replacing a legend, filling big shoes, and dealing with Favre's flip flopping, and yet he's been all class throughout the whole ordeal. I hope this situation can be resolved soon so Aaron can strictly concentrate on football.

I think Rodgers made HUGE strides last season. Coming into that, he wasn't well respected for his play. He was liked in the locker room, but many felt he wasn't the answer (according to Clifton and Ahman Green).

We will see, this week could be very interesting. But really, what do you expect him to do?

He needs to do two things this season, One, stay healthy, and two, win.
