Looks like he'll be a Buc.
Packers-Bucs working on Favre deal

Green Bay - The Tampa Tribune reported late Tuesday night that a trade between the Packers and Bucs for Brett Favre is likely to be finalized within the next 24 hours after Favre told Tampa directly that he would not stand in the way of a deal.
A source close to Favre told the Journal Sentinel that while Favre's trade to Tampa Bay was not yet completed, the signs were definitely pointed in that direction.
But the Journal Sentinel, through league sources, learned that a deal between the Packers and Bucs has not been finalized. The two teams still have to agree on compensation, which could prove a sticking point. The sources were also under the impression that the New York Jets were not out of the running for Favre's services.
Favre is said to be stressed out by the entire situation, including having about 100 fans and media camped out on his doorstep, and is ready for it to be over. His wife, Deanna, also gave her approval for a trade to Tampa Bay.

I wouldn't even care if all we got was a 7th round pick if it finally ends this and Brett wasn't a Viking. Obviously we'd get more than a 7th, but at least he'd be employed elsewhere and the questions about him playing in GB officially end.
As a side note, it would be interesting to watch the Favre/Gruden dynamic if Brett becomes more turnover prone compared to last season. The Gruden stressed or pissed off faces are great entertainment.

Favre On Verge Of Joining Bucs

The Brett Favre saga is about to end with the NFL icon in pewter.
The Tribune has learned Favre will not stand in the way of a trade from Green Bay to Tampa Bay and the deal is likely to be finalized within 24 hours.
The chances of the trade unraveling are remote and Favre has indicated to the Bucs directly that he is willing to change teams after 16 years of growing his legend in Green Bay.
The Packers, unwilling to deal the 3-time league MVP to an NFC North rival, view the Bucs as a compromise in this ugly impasse. The Bucs view Favre as an upgrade on QB Jeff Garcia, who made the Pro Bowl in 2007 while leading Tampa Bay to an NFC South title.
Once it became clear to Favre that he wasn’t welcome back in Green Bay, he became more flexible in terms of accepting a trade to clubs outside the division. The Bucs have been interested in Favre since last month, when he announced he wanted to play again.
The Bucs could make the trade announcement official by Wednesday, but Favre will have little time to learn Coach Jon Gruden’s complex system because the Bucs open the regular season Sept. 7 at division rival New Orleans.

I guess if you spew out 1,000 "scoops" you are bound to get lucky once in a while. If this turns out to be true it will be the first time Michael's was right on something.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
