One reason TT kept so much cap space was that we have a lot of guys we want to sign to extensions. And if we do those before mid December we can use this years cap dollars for their signing bonus.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I've heard Tt say that exact same thing before and then not resign players to extensions in december and basically have to pocket the money. it's great to tell the public that's the reason you held the money back, but Tt's record of following through and resigning players in December is not exactly the best.

1. No general manager in sports pockets money that would have gone to players. That would be the owner.
2. The cap space is not pocketed by the team anyways. That money goes back to the league and other various outlets.

Re: Which QB To Bring In
if we had brought in some mediocre veteran qb... and rodgers does eventually get seriously injured... then we would have a team the might make the playoffs. its not like chris simms or joey harrington is going to win a superbowl. the only one who maybe had a shot at doing something was garcia. but you might as well go with the rookie. i think people are putting to much value into these "veteran" quarterbacks. they aren't starting for a reason.
