Viking's Allen could miss game against Pack

He is marrying his sister at this years White Trash Convention. He wanted to wait until the season was over, but the baby is due in a few weeks.

Vikings DE Allen could miss Sunday's game
By Greg A. Bedard of the Journal Sentinel

Nov. 3, 2008 1:12 p.m. | Green Bay - Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress said today that defensive end Jared Allen could miss Sunday's NFC North showdown with the Green Bay Packers at the Metrodome because of the sprained shoulder he suffered in Sunday's win over the Houston Texans.

“Yeah, there’s a concern (Allen might be sidelined) because it’s a painful injury to play with,” Childress said.

While Allen hasn't done much against Packers left tackle Chad Clifton in both last year's matchup when Allen was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs and the season opener at Lambeau (just one pass defensed for Allen), he has been coming on of late. Allen had two sacks in each of the past two games, and five in the last three. His absence would be a huge blow, obviously.

But bet on him playing. Allen finished the Texans came with the same injury and he's a tough guy. He also did a bunch of trash talking in the off-season about the Packers and how the Vikings felt like they were Super Bowl contenders, so he'll want to back his talk up. Plus, when a team gives up three first-day draft picks and forks over $72.36 million in a new contract, this is the type of game they think he should deliver in. Or at least I would.

Poor baby
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Former WWF star, Hillbilly Jim, will serve as Allen's best man.

Allen got fined for hitting Schaub. I am glad he might not play because he might take out Rodgers' knees.

Allen hasn't even gotten within striking distance of Favre or Rodgers his last two appearances. Tausch-Daddy OWNS the mullet that is Jared Allen.
