Re: Golden Gophers @ Bucky
It's fun when they have the ax and we beat them in their place (like we did last year). This year we have it and it's in Madison.
Meaningless game but I always like to beat Minnesota in anything.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

It wasn't meaningless if you want the Badgers to go to a Bowl game

I couldn't care less about playing in a bottom tier bowl game that no one cares about against another below average team.

Just an awesome game to be at. Minnesota fans were quite the rowdy bunch in the first half. Bucky however, had to drop a huge deuce on them.

Last year we had it when we beat them in Minnesota. The Seniors have beat them all 4 times.
"It is a great feeling," said defensive tackle Mike Newkirk, who had a safety to give UW a 28-24 lead in the fourth quarter and is part of a senior class that went 4-0 against Minnesota.

I do because any bowl game means another month of practice that can end up being huge especially for younger players that will need to fill a role next season.

That and I'd much rather watch UW football than not watch UW football on January 1st when I'm sitting on my couch for 12 straight hours watching football (and it sounds like we will be playing Jan 1st if we beat Cal Poly, even though it is going to be a crap bowl).

Re: Golden Gophers @ Bucky
I'm pretty sure this was shown on TV but how about the Minnesota players during jump around? Bielema is a similar coach to Brewster in that they probably both would spur on something like that (Minnesota players jumping around on their sideline and taunting the Badgers, then the Badgers returning it).
I was up in the student section and immediately thought to myself, "we must complete this comeback and show these **** they still don't belong on the same field as us."

Yes, I realize there's a theory out there that we could go to the Alamo Bowl, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. Otherwise, a Jan 1st bowl? Really?

Re: Golden Gophers @ Bucky
Yeah, I don't see a January 1st Bowl. The only ones we would have a chance to go to are the Capital One Bowl and the Outback Bowl. Those will probably go to Michigan State and Iowa (assuming Penn State and Ohio State win out and go to a BCS Bowl.) Plus, would we really go to Florida for a bowl again?
I'm guessing the Insight Bowl is most likely which would be on New Years Eve.
