In football I just can't see anyone turning down a good deal. It's way too much of a gamble to play another season before getting that big check. Whether he gets $10, $15 or $20 million, I can't see risking it. I don't know if Braun likes Milwaukee or hates it but he was smart enough to take lifetime security when he had a chance.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I just wish they could have ironed out the deal before so the signing bonus could go on last season's payroll.

We don't really know how TT feels about paying big money to receivers. He got rid of Walker (who was coming off an injury). He's drafed Jennings, Jones and Nelson the last 3 years, maybe he feels he can keep doing that and not tie up big money in a receiver.

I think the offense could probably still be productive without Jennings, but neither Jones or Nelson have the explosive big play ability that Jennings has and IMO football teams have to have at least a couple field tilting playmakers if they want to be a big time contender. Right now, this Packers team lacks field tilting players, losing Jennings would be a big blow.

Again until someone tells me that TT is free to use the entire cap I am just not sure he is, plus with a team that has no owner, this organization could have taken a huge financial hit this past year with the market the way it was.....they did scrap plans for the $25 million addition....but I hope Jennings gets payed and Rodgers/Jennings becomes one of the most prolific QB/WR pair of all time.

I agree. Pay the man. It is too bad they couldn't get this into the 2008 cap though.

some players are waiting to see if 2010 is going to be an uncapped year, if so the Joneses and Snyders of the world could lose there minds and be like the Yankees of this year.

The stands will be full regardless. Until i see businesses pull out of leases for luxury boxes, i'm not sold it will happen. Granted, some advertising revenues could go away. Unlike the Brewers though, revenue sharing in the NFL keeps TV money locked in at high levels. The team has over 100 million stashed away. I don't see why the team would have to keep making big profits each year so long as they at least break even. The only aspect i'd be worried about is if they had most of that 100 plus million in the market and thus lost a sizable chunk of it.
