Bigby Signs One-Year Tender

Packers safety Atari Bigby, a restricted free agent, has signed his one-year tender, a league source tells us.

Bigby will earn a base salary of $1.545 million, the second-round RFA level.

A three-year veteran, Bigby played in only seven games last year, due to injury. He came of age during the 2007 playoff, with ferocious hits in the Packers’ division-round win over the Seahawks.

Absent an extension to the CBA, Bigby will be a restricted free agent again in 2009.

Today is the deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets with other teams.
