I think Thompson is going to shock a lot of people...he is really suited to play the stand up guy on the 3-4, if Kampman were to struggle Thompson will be a factor. I also like Lansanah, there is a reason they kept him around over Tracy White and that is because they believe he can develop into a player, if any of you remember last pre season he hit like a beast and I think he is a better athlete than Bishop, although I like Bishop quite a bit as well, won't be surprised if Barnett is not ready.

Thompson has all the measurables and ability, but what he seems to lack is the killer instinct Kevin Greene has described that he wants from his linebackers. I'm still optimistic about him, but I have yet to see his raw ability translate on the field yet.

Also, I haven't seen much of Lansanah, but I'm taking the staff's word for it that he's going to become a player. As you said, he's the reason we cut Tracy White and I was also encouraged by the fact that Bill Parcells tried to steal him off our practice squad, which forced us to activate him.
