I'm now kinda glad Packer-Vikings @ Metrodome tix weren't available yet. I still wouldn't mind going, but I'm not as willing to pay for preseason game tix as well. I suppose it will still sell out, but it's kinda funny that they held they held the seats waiting for his inevitable return.

Queens/Packers games are always popular and they should still fetch a pretty good price. Not as high without Favre but they are usually the most in demand tix of the season.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I would think the Chicago rivalry is bigger then the Minnesota rivalry. Am I wrong? Maybe its just because I live in kenosha.

My take is that in SE Wisconsin and probably anybody over like 45-50 that the Bears are the biggest rivalry. To everybody else, especially the younger generation, I would say its easily the Vikings. The biggest problem was the Bears stunk throughout the entire 90's and the Vikings/Packers games did not. And unlike the 80's when the Packers got pounded by the Bears, free agency changed alot in my opinion. It was bitter in the 80's b/c the same Packers kept getting beat for the most part. In the 90's when the Bears were getting hammered, there was turnover of players and wasn't as personal. But if I had to vote, the Vikings would be the bigger rival from the Packers standpoint.

Certainly at the WI/IL border Bears/Packers are the biggest but overall Packers/Vikings have overtaken Packers/Bears in the last 10 years.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I look at it as a great competitive rival between us and Chicago. Between Minn and GB its more bad-blood

The Bears were the big rivalry until we pounded them time after time and the Vikings acquired guys like Moss, Carter & Culpepper. The Queens have had players much easier to hate over the last 15 years.

That may change as the Cutler era begins in Chicago. Plus, it's kinda hard not to like Adrian Peterson. Maybe my hatred for Childress and this Favre fiasco balances that out, however.

Agreed. There are actually a lot of guys on that Vikings team that I like individually, such as Peterson, Jared Allen, and Winfield. It's almost a unanimous consensus amongst guys my age (20-somethings) that the Vikings are the more hated team, though, mainly for the reasons you cited. There are only a handful of memorable Packers/Bears game that I witnessed growing up while there are many more of the Packers/Vikings variety.

Exactly...the 1989 Instant Replay game with the Majik Man is about the only real great Packer-Bear moment I recall. And I was in like 1st grade. The 90's were all Packer drubbings. And besides the blocked FG where "Walter lifted that DT" for the Bears in the Rhodes era, there weren't many great games. Favre's 5 TD game in 1995 was sweet and a good game.

Otherwise the Vikings always had drama. Favre could never win at the Dome, Moss had his coming out party at Lambeau, they would sign all of the old Packers, etc. Year in and year out, the Vikings and Packers were usually in the mix for the division whereas the Bears have a year here and there.

Well seeing the prices right now, I'd sell those tickets right now...especially in case Favre gets hurt or something. You can always buy down the road for cheaper probably.

I hate the cold just as much as the next guy, but I always suck it up if I have a chance to experience Lambeau. Anyone that wants to shed cold weather tickets, let me know.

Same here. In both regards. I've only been to two Packer games in my life (once against the Lions in 03 beating them 31-6 and another against the Titans on Monday night...where they crushed us..) and I would do just about anything to get back up to Lambeau. My Girlfriend has a lot of family with tickets so this may finally be the year. I just can't believe it has been over 4 years since I was last at a game.
