Well that was more interesting than it should have been.

I certainly hope we don't have to hear from the negative nellies again about how this is another close win. Like after NIU. Yes, it is frustrating that the team takes their pedal off the metal, but they need to dominate when the game is in doubt to do so. It has nothing to do with the caliber of team they actually are. This is flat out a good team, maybe very good. Bielema's just got to stop being so damn arrogant and let it transfer into his players.

The Badgers dominated that game. Was great to see.

2 garbage time TDs don't change how badly the Badger killed MSU today.

Secondary was very good. O-line was better, but still some issues. Tolzien was awesome.

Graham makes Toon look like the Damir Markota of football.

This is the most offensive weapons the Badgers have had in a while. They have a legit top end RB, TE, and enough good WR's where you can't focus on one guy. Should be a fun season. This was a dominating win.

And a QB that can get them the ball. And Kendricks.

I believe the jury is still out and the next 2 games on the ROAD will tell us everything. It appears Tolzein is for real, but I want to see how he handles a pass rush in a hostile territory.....the Badgers defense to me still isn't that good, not much of a pass rush and a more balanced offense will dominate them. What is it with offensive tackles in this state who can't pass block? Neither the Packers or Badgers have a decent pass blocking O-tackle right now....both QB's will get hurt if that doesn't change.

The pass rush is a bit of an unknown, but Schofield is solid and it seems that they may have found a new weapon in the form of Chris Borland to rush in obvious pass situations.

I think the problems with the O-line stem from the decision to fatten them up like thanksgiving turkeys. This was from a JS article a couple of weeks ago.
For example, where is the best spot for the 6-foot-5, 315-pound Konz?

"I love to have a center that can get out and run," Bostad acknowledged. "But I think you also have to be that oomph guy, too. You have to be able to be that guy that can take on those 320-pounders inside. . . . We hope he keeps putting on weight and getting bigger and stronger."

Konz was asked if he had a favorite position.

"Starting," he said. "Wherever they need me. . . . I can't tell you because after being on the field that's the only thing I ever want to do again."

He's a 315 lb center and you want to put MORE weight on him. Seems like he is at a pretty solid weight already and playing well, but hell lets pack another 20 lbs on him.

Just more proof that Borland is like Jesus in a football jersey.
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/61993582.html

Chris Borland was credited with four quarterback hurries. Last season, only one UW player had more than three QB hurries (Matt Shaughnessy, 10). In 2007, two Badgers had four QB hurries and one five (for the entire season). In 2006, one Badger had seven QB hurries and one had four. Well, you get the picture ...
