OT: Portis says it's only a matter of time before a torn ACL

Post#1 » by Aaron It Out » Fri Oct 2, 2009 9:32 pm

From wiretap..

It's only a matter of time before I have a 200-yard game," Portis told the Washington Post. "It's only a matter of time before I have a 150-yard game. It's only a matter of time before I get two or three touchdowns. It's just the fact, when's it coming? I know it's coming. But when?"

I don't understand why players like to curse themselves like this? The only time I can really think of a time when this worked was when Jamal Lewis broke the single game rushing yards record a few years ago. Otherwise it always seems to come back and bite them in the ass.

Portis is a great interview. Alot of people of late say he's hit his running back wall, however, I think no 100 yard games in the last 8, I believe.

At least he has some wear--can't really say the same about our boy RG.

I agree that Portis is a good guy and also hilarious, I just don't like seeing players say they're going to perform great and then not perform. We'll see though.
