Whatever happened to Schabert? You would have thought that pass would have propelled him to become a decent college QB.

He wasn't very good. I could've made that pass.

He was a bit of a D Bag and transferred.

True story, he'd show his teammates footage of that pass before every game.

Every game? What could he possibly say? Look how awesome that pass was to the wide open receiver?

I would hope they just got up and walked away after the first time.

I went to school with Schabert's younger sister at Minnesota. It was kind of ridiculous how much she was obsessed wit him. I had speech class with her and she basically talked about her brother for every single speech. Nice girl, but weird infatuation with her brother...

I hated speech classes.

It was part of our English 10 in high school where a semester was devoted to writing and stuff and the other semester was a speech class. Hated every second of it and it was required.

Then had a creative writing class. Figured it would just be writing. Had to give speeches in that class too. Needless to say, twirl was one pissed off dude.

I typically hate speech classes too, but this one was taught by a new Chinese teacher who could barely speak English herself. It was the easiest LibEd class I ever took, got a 99% in it. She would allow students to push back their speeches indefinitely if they weren't ready. There were 2 or 3 kids who did like 3 speeches the last week of the semester. The class was a joke.

I had a middle aged woman who not only had her glasses on a string but also wore them on her head 95% of the time. She also sounded like a donkey.

I was scared to death of speech class up til my sophomore year in college. Then I learned benefits of getting ripped off your ass the night before you have to give one. Talking in front of a class when you're on a serious come-down = cake. No joke, it got me over my fear of public speaking and now I excel at it.

I was at that game. Almost got trampled by a police horse during the post game celebration on the field.

I was at the game, so drunk I could barely stand up and inviting the rain to fall, which it did for most of the game. Stadium was shaking, after the Lee TD I thought the whole place would crumble to the ground. Awesome game.

Yeah, I really wish I knew what it was like to be a girl. Maybe you can tell me after your next basketball game. 8-)
