What a game.

Just seeing this today. My thoughts...

I think it's a bit of an overreaction, but I don't think it's too big of a stretch. I might just be buying in because it's so exciting to watch and has had some success to this point, but I think that we could be witnessing more than just a short-lived fad. There's of course the "defenses are going to figure it out and it will go by the wayside" factor, but I'm not sure that it DOES move it to the wayside. Or that defenses will render it useless.

I have long said that Tebow's future in the NFL should be at fullback. I've felt that because of the versatility he would be able to bring, and the uniqueness he'd be able to instill into an offense (in addition to the fact that he would just not cut it as a pro-style QB). He very well could be able to change the way you view the FB outside of blocking, and it'd be like having Mike Alstott with the added bonus of past experience as a QB and the ability to pass. But I'm starting to rethink my position on Tebow because of the Wildcat. All of the things he would bring to an offense at FB, he'd be able to bring to an offense as a Wildcat QB or RB. He could be used in either role and I think he could see some success. Passing out of the Wildcat I believe it what would make it a weapon with staying power, and while he's not a great passer, he could succeed with it out of the Wildcat. And unlike Pat White, who is more of a scrambling-type runner, Tebow is a square-your-shoulder-pads-and-knock-you-on-your-ass (that was hard to type), between the tackles type runner. He runs like a power RB or FB. That could prove valuable to the versatility.
