Queens/Pack game moved to 3:15 PM

Vikings-Packers game moved to 3:15 p.m.
By Greg A. Bedard of the Journal Sentinel
Oct. 13, 2009 10:12 a.m.

Green Bay - The NFL has announced the Nov. 1 game between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings has been moved from a noon start to 3:15 p.m.

The reason is obvious: the game marks Brett Favre's return to Lambeau Field.

The Oct. 5 matchup between the two teams in the Metrodome was the highest-rated program ever on cable.

The Philadelphia Eagles-New York Giants matchup originally scheduled for 3:15 has been moved to noon. The NFL's stated reason is to avoid a conflict with a possible World Series game in Philadelphia.

It's rare that they put both New York games at the same time but this is a good reason for it. Unfortunuately we'll get Joe Buck.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If you don't like Joe Buck you should hear Jay Mohr's impression of Buck's call of the David Tyree catch. Pretty funny. I don't hate Joe Buck but I'm not a huge fan either. I do like Troy Aikman though.

Definitely knew they would fanagle something to get this in primetime.

Allows the fans more time to get liquored up for gametime. There is gonna be so many fights and ejections at this game, lol.

I can't stand Joe Buck...

Buck used to be good but not he's full of himself, an arogant wind bag. Aikman I don't mind.

I loved when Artie Lange gave Buck all he could handle last summer on Buck's ill faded attempt at comedy.

Buck did a bit with Lange on show #2 but it was taped in advance.

A 3:15 game gives us more time to drink.

Thom Brennaman, subbing for Joe Buck (who is handling World Series telecasts) and Troy Aikman will call the Vikings-Packers II.

Every person I'm supposed to go to the game with is pissed about the time change since we all live between 3-6 hours away and have to work the next day. I'm still giving heavy consideration to buying a 64" TV this weekend and selling the damn tickets.

At least it wasn't moved to NBC...hearing Cris Collinsworth calling a game once a season is far too much, twice would make my head explode.
You've ruined the act, Gob.

Chris Collinsworth can be really good and really bad at times. He's very good at picking up small, yet significant details during live action and pointing them out during replays, but his editorial comments are almost always very obnoxious.

Selling the tickets and parlaying it into a 64" TV would not be a bad move at all. Really once the game starts, its just another game. The pregame/atmosphere will be off the chart probably, but that payday is hard to pass up.
