Exactly. I think that makes it a little more likely that something bigger happens this offseason. Murphy really hasn't done anything yet in his role, and if the team keeps falling apart like it is, people are going to start looking in his direction to fix it.

I'm much more fed up with this coaching staff than I am with Thompson. This team is far too talented to be 4-4 right now. You can blame him for not putting together a competent line but I even chalk half of that up to coaching. We don't even have a real offensive line coach. I don't doubt McCarthy knows X's and O's, but what good does that do you if you can't get your team to execute those X's and O's without committing penalties and just generally making mistakes? He also has a Yost-ly demeanor about him. With Yost, a guy could suck for half a season and he'd tell us that the guy's fine and he's had some good BP and he's shown some signs... With McCarthy, the offensive line is getting whipped week after week. Our special teams is literally losing games for us, and all we get is "we're going to look at the film and clean some things up." Really? Then why are we seeing the same problems that were identified 6 weeks ago only getting worse? I don't give coaches brownie points for wearing their heart on their sleeve in front of the media and getting all fiery and intense in those situations, but given the fact that the games we are losing are all being lost on account of the same mistakes, it's obvious that McCarthy isn't displaying that intensity away from the media, either.

I hope Murphy glances at RealGM if only to get a feel of how some fans feel and think...

Mr. Murphy its time to prove you have a pair and take charge of the organization.

Anyone have his email?

IF we lose to Cowboys I think we should start letting him know.

IF we win - then I'll see how season plays out.

Wow I just got done reading Michael Hunt's article. I might as well have plagiarized it. My rant was almost identical to his.
