Maybe Pats will settle for playing Light and trade us Vollmer. They have more holes to fill this year and could use the extra picks. Plus they'd still have Light.

Maybe Dolphins or Jets would move the huge salary of their young LTs?

Pay the farm for Thomas or Jets Ferguson or Fin's Long or Pat's Vollmer.

Not one of those players are going to be available, teams do not left quality LT's go, especially young ones......You need to draft and develop, afterall that is what the Packers do.

I do agree that CB is a huge need as well, would not mind taking a chance on a Noel Devine but not wasting a first rounder on a RB when you have the third best runner in the NFC.

I don't think that Clifton is as close to done as you think. I don't doubt that Bulaga is ready to go, I am just wondering where he'd play. I don't think anyone is trying to make this case that he is like this can't miss, franchise LT. If he were and we could get him, do it and do whatever with Clifton, but I just don't see that as the case, so why not stick with the option you have. When they are ready to draft a LT, there will be others like Bulaga...

The more I look at this class the more I'm starting to think there's a chance the Packers could land an OT in the first round without having to move up. Campbell and Davis declaring was great for us. Hopefully Bulaga follows suit.

That would leave the draft with six relatively equal OTs to go along with Ducasse and Iupati who could play inside or out.

I don't know about waiting till Clifton is done to draft a guy. Clifton could be done any play now, the guy is old and beaten up. Clifton and Tausher are both about done. I think we need to draft at least two tackles and one should be in the first few rounds, especially with the lack of OTs in free agency. We are pressing our luck way too much if we go into next year banking on Clifton and Tausher staying healthy and playing effective, IMO.
