The Amazingly Sucky Christian Guzman Thread

Post#1 » by Scabs304 » Tue May 8, 2007 3:36 pm

Sorry but it has to bother other people that he is batting .143 and he hit 2nd in the order yesterday.

You know very well that forward thinking individuals do not consider it proper to fault someone for something they neither chose to be nor can stop being. Christian presumably does not want to suck, but has no other option, fault the front office for paying for his services and the team's baseball minds for continuing to provide him opportunities to demonstrate that characteristic.

I'd rather have Ruffin on the court than Guzman on the field.

That's saying a lot.

He's finally healthy...
He'll be fine now...
Isn't he hitting .311 now?

He stunk it up in '05 but he was injured most of the season and played through it not realizing how serious it was...
Missed all of '06...
Before '05 he was one of the best overall SS in the game on a pretty darn good team...
He'll be fine if healthy...

Ha...jefbo, that was an easy target.

He's pretty much always sucked. 2001 is the only season I'd say he was even average and he only played in 118 games that year. He has a lifetime OBP of below .300 and his OPS is enough to make Billy Beane's head spin.

The dude won't be in the majors next year. Mark it down.

i had had two martinis at this point so i asked her if he every shouted DAGGER in the bedroom with her.

she looked at me kinda strangely and said she had no idea what DAGGER meant.

I believe he signed a 3-year deal before the '05 season, so mercifully, he'll be gone.

Well he does currently serve pretty well as a reminder (now that Vinny Castilla is no longer a National) of what can happen with Jim Bowden running the show.

What on earth would SS stand for in final fantasy, and how exactly could Christian have been on a pretty good team?

What you don't know about Christian is that the man is quite the Castle Wolfenstein ace, remarkably handy with a panzerfaust. Or he was, prior to 2005. He started letting his fame get to him, getting hot and heavy at Dance Dance Revolution, seemingly with a new woman each week, or the same woman with a different neon hair color each week. There were even rumors he had become involved with hax0rz, and of multiple positive tests for Red Bull. Guz said he wasn't having fun anymore and he's concentrated at being terrible at baseball ever since.
