Jolly/Roethlisberger

Post#1 » by Judo Krugar » Thu Sep 2, 2010 6:38 pm

I was wandering if anyone knows why the NFL came down so hard on Jolly, and were pretty lenient on Roethlisberger even though this is his 2nd time doing what he does. Is Jolly a repeat offender? Just wandering cuz drugs don't seem nearly as bad as rape. Both were idiots by the way.

I actually agree with you. Unfortunately, that is the world we live in. You're penalized more for drug use than you are for decisions that can hurt people far worse.

Well, Roethlisberger wasn't actually charged with rape although I do think the NFL was quick to suspend Jolly for the entire season.

Jolly's suspension is for violating the substance abuse policy which has very specific punishments spelled out in the CBA. Roethlisbergers is for the personal conduct policy which is all up to Godell
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Exactly. I really hope PIMP isn't serious with his comment. We all knew Jolly's suspension once we found out what he violated, for Big Ben it was based on what Goodell thought was right after meeting with him.
